Gemstone values

The gem is gameplay. The price is not.
The wiki describes every player as automatically having a gem equipped. The Beast ropes a ragdolled Survivor with it. Survivors watch the glow to guess distance. That function is the same for a common gem and a legendary one. Rarity is collection and trade, not a stronger rope.
FTFValues prices the set, then splits legendary pairs 70% hammer / 30% gem and other rarities 50/50. A gem page on this site always says “derived estimate”.
Derived gem estimates
| Gem | Pair | Pair FV | Derived gem FV | Tag |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chromatic Spark | Chromatic Phoenix | 9 | 2.7 | Halloween |
| Megaphone | Theatrical Spotlight | 5 | 1.5 | Anniversary |
| Lucky Shamrock | Lucky Top Hat | 10 | 3 | St. Patrick's |
| Hollow Crown | Hollow Scythe | 75 cited | 23 on that card | Christmas |

Questions
Why is there no official gem price list?
The value site we cite stores a pair total, then splits it. A lone gem number is a derived estimate and should be labeled that way.
What happens if I hold more than 10 of one gem?
Fandom Gemstones revision 22533 warns of a ten-copy limit and possible loss of the whole stack above it. This is a community-wiki warning, not a current behavior tested here or confirmed by a cited developer rule. Check the live inventory/trade prompts and official support before accepting duplicates; do not test the warning with valuable items.
Does glow color change detection?
The wiki says the held gem glows so Survivors can judge distance. I did not find an official brightness table, so I am not claiming one color is safer.
